This CTEC-approved continuing education course provides tax professionals with practical strategies to help middle-income clients reduce tax liability and increase net savings. While many tax courses focus on either high-income planning or low-income credit optimization, this course fills the critical gap in planning for the “middle”—the taxpayers most professionals serve every day.
Prepares participants to implement real, attainable tax-saving strategies across AGI planning, income timing, loss harvesting, above-the-line deductions, HSAs, IRAs, education benefits, dependent care, and more. This is a national-content CTEC course and does not include California-specific rules.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
• Recognize tax-reduction opportunities available to middle-income households
• Apply AGI-focused planning to maximize tax benefits and credits
• Evaluate income-timing and loss-harvesting strategies for taxpayer advantage
• Utilize HSA and IRA rules to improve client tax outcomes
• Guide clients on education and dependent care strategies to lower taxable income
This course counts for 2 Hours of Federal Tax Law for IRS Continuing Education.
